Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
876SPA ("we", "us", "our") operates this website and booking system to provide beauty and spa services and retail products in Portmore, Jamaica. This policy explains what personal information we collect from you, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices and rights you have. By using this site or booking an appointment with us, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, including:
- Booking details — your name, phone number, email address, and any notes you add about your appointment (e.g. hair condition, allergies, or preferences).
- Account information — if you create a customer account, your name, email, phone number, and a password (stored securely; we never see or store your password in plain text).
- Payment-related information — bookings and hair product orders are paid online through Fygaro, our third-party payment processor. We never see, collect, or store your full card number or banking credentials. Fygaro receives what it needs to process the transaction (such as your name, email, and the amount charged) and shares back with us confirmation that payment was received, which we use to confirm your appointment or order.
- Hair product orders — the same booking and payment-related details above, for standalone product orders.
- Communications — messages you send us, such as questions or requests related to a booking or order.
We also automatically collect limited technical information through our hosting and infrastructure providers (such as IP address, browser type, and general usage logs) for security and to keep the site running reliably.
2. How we use your information
- To create, confirm, reschedule, and manage your appointments and orders.
- To send you booking-related emails: confirmations, pending-verification notices, reschedule and cancellation notices, and appointment reminders (24 hours and 1 hour before your appointment).
- To respond to your questions and provide customer service.
- To maintain the security, integrity, and proper functioning of our booking system.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing profiling.
3. How we store and protect your information
Your information is stored in a secured database with access restricted to authorized staff who need it to manage bookings and orders. While no online system can be guaranteed completely secure, we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
4. Third-party service providers
We use a small number of trusted third-party providers to run this site, who process personal information on our behalf and only for the purposes described in this policy:
- Fygaro — our payment processor, used to securely process online card payments. Your card details are entered directly on Fygaro's own secure payment page and never pass through our servers.
- Supabase — our database, authentication, and secure file storage provider.
- Resend — our transactional email provider, used to send booking and order-related emails.
- Vercel — our website hosting provider.
These providers are contractually and technically restricted from using your information for their own purposes.
5. Your rights
Jamaica's Data Protection Act, 2020 gives you rights over your personal information, including the right to:
- Ask us what personal information we hold about you and request a copy of it.
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to any legal or accounting reasons we may need to keep certain records.
- Withdraw consent for optional communications at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page. If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to Jamaica's Office of the Information Commissioner.
6. Data retention
We keep booking, order, and payment information for as long as needed to provide our services, resolve disputes, and meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
7. Children's privacy
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example as our services change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
